I haven't gone quite that far. But I am carrying around a couple packets of alcohol swabs wherever I go. if I pump gas, I use one to wipe down the nozzle and the buttons I push first. If I'm using a self checkout, I use it to touch the screen when I have to, and to retrieve the change from the coin return. And for touching anything else that has likely been touched by a bunch of other people.

i suppose I may get some strange looks from people. But I'm a not-particularly-healthy old fart, and the alcohol swabs are cheap, so what the heck.
