I had a roommate in college from Monrovia Liberia. He said that they were known as “American-Liberians”. With their skills and education they brought with them, the first thing they did was to push the “savage natives” off the best land, seize it, then build plantations and enslave, virtually enslaved or forces the primitive locals to be share croppers on what had been their land. They then sought to Civilize and Christianize the locals.

These Amero- Liberians then held all of the power, authority and positions of privilege to this day. The brutal civil war was when tribal groups sought to get out from under the boot of their oppressors.

Seems slavery, oppression, greed, power, cultural imperialism are not exclusive to one race. They can even be done by one race upon their own race.
