Today, I would be wary of large cities. I live in Tulsa, a fairly large city, but I don't think it's very high on anyone's list of priorities.
A self-reliant armed man is a citizen. A disarmed man in a refugee center is a subject, a slave, totally at the mercy of his masters. I think I know which one you want to be.

airforce During the Cold War there were certain parameters for targeting. Population of at least 50,000. Five thousand foot runway, port facilities. A heavy manufacturing presence. Also on the list are hydro generation power plants, major bridges and the top of mountain passes on interstate highways.
