One of my plans has to do with TOPO MAPS...use'em to utilize the back roads, when necessary, (that's what we did to exit Htown, before Rita, & it saved us literally HOURS...AT LEAST WE GOT OUT...many never DID!) Also, to be able dodge "CHECKPOINTS"!

And, REMEMBER to go SLOWLY around "sharp curves" or "switch backs", or hills(study your map & mark likley locations ahead of time), as it's USUALLY on "switchbacks" or hills that the Police/Army set up their roadblocks. (It'd be a BIG HELP if your caravan can utilize a motorbike as a "scout/Point", to be able to warn you of such traps...and utilize handhelds or CB's if possible.

Also, another method I'm utilizing is staying UP on the latest BREAKING News...you can tell alot by that...ALSO, utilize SCANNERS, and listen in on POLICE FRECS(just have to learn the NUMBERING SYSTEM they code with...anybody know the "HOW TO" on that?)

Also, if & when possible, travel by GROUPS...best way to shorten breakdowns, & lessen attack likelihood...and stay alive.
